Getting Started
Do you want to try out Scrivo? Then here's a demo for you that does not just get your feet wet but lets you plunge right in. Follow this installation guide and within minutes you'll be running the website of the most authentic tapas bar of the Netherlands on your server.
Before you start you'll have to check if your system meets the mandatory prerequisites necessary to run Scrivo. You'll need
- a web server that runs PHP version 5.4 or up, and
- access to a MySQL database server version 5.1 or higher.
What we'll do
This installation a two step process: first you will install Scrivo itself using the installer. This also creates and initializes the Scrivo database. Then we'll add the templates and content of the example site. These two steps should also demonstrate that content and templates can easily be transferred between live and development sites.
